With its own large enclosed garden, this comfortable, detached family holiday home is located in a scenic part of Wiltshire, just over a mile from the picturesque, quaint village of Wylye, with post office, village shop and public house. There are fields and countryside both to the front and rear, with a railway branch line beyond. Rural walks can be enjoyed through the fields and woodland and along the river’s edge, where plenty of wildlife can be viewed. Langford Lakes Nature Reserve is within 10 minutes’ walk, with numerous bird species, other wildlife, and activities for children and families. Pony trekking is available locally. Salisbury is only 15 minutes’ drive, home to the magnificent medieval cathedral which has a 404ft spire and houses one of the 4 original copies of the Magna Carta and Europe’s oldest working clock. There is also a museum, theatre and many shops, amenities, bars and restaurants. Longleat Safari Park makes a great day out, and also Stourhead, both within easy driving distance. Alternatively, there is much culture to be savoured at the Roman city of Bath, or take a trip to the World Heritage site of Stonehenge and marvel at the amazing stone circles. Also within driving distance are the New Forest, with its open heathland, where ponies roam freely, and Paultons Park.
