Lymington offers great pubs, restaurants, individual shops and Saturday morning street market. At the quay side you can get a variety of boat trips including day trips to the Isle of Wight. There is a small beach 1½ miles away at Milford-on-Sea and Keyhaven well known for its nature reserve covering 2,000 acres of saltings and mudflats which have a wide variety of visiting birds. Excellent walking, riding and cycling are available throughout the New Forest, where ponies and cattle roam freely on the heathland. Beaulieu House, the Motor Museum and Exbury Gardens all nearby.
