This picturesque, 300-year-old, detached, fisherman’s cottage is set in West Mersea’s premier road 50 yards from the sea and public hard. Cycling, sailing, windsurfing, walking, fishing or bird watching are within easy reach of the holiday cottage. Mersea Island lies between the estuaries of the Blackwater and Colne rivers, 9 miles from Colchester with its castle, museum and zoo. Within easy driving distance are Dedham Vale, Constable Country and Suffolk. The island is reached by a causeway which cuts it off for short periods during Spring/high tides.
