Refurbished to an exacting standard, this glorious and spacious house is one of a row and makes the ideal beachside retreat for family and friends - perfectly situated for a relaxing and invigorating holiday by the North Cornish Coast.<br />On the ground floor, the large kitchen/dining-room is the heart of the property - the perfect spot for a celebration meal or lazy breakfast. On the first floor, the living room has lovely views and a glazed door to a pretty balcony where visitors can sit and watch the world pass by. In the evening, the enclosed courtyard at the back of the property is the perfect spot for an evening barbecue. Large well-furnished bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms make this a very versatile and comfortable property.<br />Within a 5-minute stroll of Bude’s town centre and a couple of minutes’ level walk to the stunning Crooklets Beach and glorious coastal path, Downs View is in a fantastic position for exploring the coast and local area. This is an ideal holiday location in which to have a break from driving - with many attractions and amenities within walking distance. Children will love being in such close proximity to the surfing beaches of Bude and enjoying a game of cricket or football on the sands at low tide. Most of Bude’s beaches are great for surfing, kite surfing, sea kayaking, fishing, or just for rock pooling. Crooklets Beach, Middle Beach, Summerleaze Beach (with its lifeguarded outside sea pool) and Northcott Mouth are all less than five minutes away from Bude town centre, and the rest are just a five-minute drive away. Most have summer lifeguards and there are plenty of surf schools offering lessons.<br />Bude is dramatically perched on the North Cornish Coast; it is incredibly popular year round and yet manages to retain its Victorian charm whilst offering something for everyone. An excellent selection of shops and restaurants, many offering local seafood, are on the doorstep. <br />The pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac and Rock are well worth a visit and mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle is close by. The wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moors are a must for walkers and nature lovers; for a great day out Crealy Adventure Park, Newquay Zoo and the famous Eden Project are all within easy driving distance.<br />Golf, tennis, horse riding, coastal walking, surfing, fishing and mountain boarding are all on offer - the list is almost endless so there will never be a shortage of things to do! In late August, Bude is host to the internationally acclaimed annual jazz festival and is an event not to be missed.
