Buttercup Cottage is part of a refurbished stone-built courtyard that simply oozes old world charm. In a tranquil setting, this semi-detached holiday cottage lies on a quiet country road and is part of a 170-acre stud and beef farm at the foot of the Croghan Mountains. For animal or nature lovers, this is a fantastic holiday spot. There are lots of friendly dogs on this farm as well as horses and cows - you may be lucky enough to see puppies being born or a calf or foal. Tinahely is only 4 miles and Aughrim 5 miles; Aughrim won the national award in the Tidy Towns Competition 2007. Riding, walking and fishing are all available. The celebrated Vale of Avoca and the Meeting of the Waters is about 15 miles and the nearest beach about 11 miles. Shops 5 miles.
