Bridge House is a well-appointed, detached, mid-19th century stone built house. It is situated on the banks of the Trystion River in the heart of the village of Cynwyd. The kitchen not only has an inglenook, woodburner and beamed ceiling, but also benefits from French windows opening onto an extensive balcony and deck area, with views over the river and a small mill leet that flows through the riverside gardens. The village has a post office/shop, a pub, a waterfall and wonderful walks into the Berwyn Mountains. The nearby town of Corwen (2 miles) has several pubs and cafés, a curry house, a fish and chip shop and a range of food shops. Cynwyd is half-way between Lake Bala and Llangollen, the latter being the home of the International Music Eisteddfod, Valle Crucis Abbey, Llangollen steam railway and the Llangollen Canal, with Thomas Telford’s magnificent Pontcysyllte Aqueduct - a World Heritage Site.
